Rotherham Lifelong Learning Partnership

Rotherham Adult Learning Partnership
(RALP)

What is RALP?

RALP is the strategic group for Rotherham Adult (community) Learning. The partners in this group are all providers of Adult Learning in Community settings in Rotherham. Representatives of these providers come together to plan provision for adult learners. A list of the current partners can be found in the Key Contacts section.

The purpose of the RALP group is to ensure collaborative organization and planning of learning provision. By coming together to plan provision the partner organizations can avoid duplication of effort and ensure that there are less ‘gaps’ in the opportunities available to learners. This means that the provision for Adult learners in Rotherham is more co ordinated than it would be if there were no partnership group and that work on common issues (such as staff and curriculum development) can be jointly undertaken.

What does RALP do?

The partners meet regularly to undertake and monitor activities agreed in The Rotherham Adult Community Delivery Plan, which will be available for download soon. The partner organizations work together to deliver the activities and report their progress to the Lifelong Learning Partnership Board. The following diagram shows the structure of the RALP group its current sub groups and its relationship to the Learning Partnership Board.
