Creative and Digital Media covers a wide range of new technology to create audio, video, animation and graphics which can be then used on computers (e.g. on websites or multimedia CD-ROMs or DVDs) or on DVD players, CD players and other electronic hardware.
Around 12,600 people in the North of England are currently employed in the creative and digital media sector, accounting for 7.3 per cent of total employment in the technology sector.
